Tove Jansson (1914-2001) was bold in her life and work: an inquisitive and open-minded adventuress, ever questioning authority. Though best known as the creator of the world-famous Moomintrolls, she was also a prolific painter, illustrator, caricaturist and cartoonist. She is also famous for her short stories and novels for adults. Above all, Tove Jansson was a great humanist and storyteller, regardless of medium.
